Teach One to Lead One - Scottsdale, AZ
Richard is the Business Development Manager for Teach One to Lead One (T1L1), a global mentoring program for kids at-risk. He has been on staff with T1L1 since 2013, and volunteered as a mentor for the 4 years prior while he served as a youth pastor in Vancouver, WA. Richard's current T1L1 focus is on expansion, fundraising, and marketing. Richard has been a part of over 50 mentoring teams, and has trained and recruited over 120 volunteer mentors who have reached 2,100 students while with T1L1.
Richard graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor's degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. He has served on staff at 4 different churches before entering the nonprofit world, including Arizona, California, and Washington state. As a "recovering" youth pastor and pastor's kid, Richard has a huge heart for the local church and is passionate about mobilizing churches to reach kids who are desperate for Hope in their own local communities.
Richard and his wife, Leslianne, have two beautiful daughters (Lucy and Ruby). Also, Richard is an avid yet depressed Phoenix Suns and Arizona Cardinals fan.
